About Us

Elana earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work at Yeshiva University in New York. In addition, she completed post graduate training at the University of Michigan, Sexual Health Certificate Program with concentrations in sex therapy and sexuality education. Elana is a Licensed Masters Social Worker in the state of Michigan and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist.

I work with individuals and couples presenting primarily with sexual concerns, relationship and communication issues.  I have been working for nearly 15 years as a clinician helping my clients to develop the coping skills needed to manage and function more effectively.  I use a variety of treatment modalities with my clients including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and psychodynamic theories. I listen to find out what your needs are and work with you to develop a treatment goals and a plan that’s customized for you.

Payment and Insurance

Mental health services may be covered by your insurance company. However, it is your responsibility to know your coverage, if you have deductibles or copays.   I am a provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, Aetna and Cofinity. Any other insurance companies would be considered out of network. While our office will bill your insurance as a courtesy, coverage is not guaranteed and payment will be collected at time of service. Couples therapy is NOT covered by insurance companies and will result in out of pocket expense.

If you are not using insurance, out of pocket fees rates are the following:

Intake Session (60 minutes) $195

Individual Session (50 minutes) $140

Couples Therapy (50 minutes) $150
